What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is the largest drug-free healthcare profession in the world. Chiropractic treatments focus on spinal alignment and its effects on the nervous system. Your nervous system controls how you move, feel and think. Misalignments of your spine can cause pinched nerves and result in immediate discomfort or chronic pain. Whether it’s a nagging pain from your desk job or a sudden injury to your back, chiropractic care can help relieve pain, restore movement, improve energy levels and increase performance. Chiropractic works.

What is a chiropractor?

Chiropractors are highly educated, licensed healthcare professionals with a minimum of 3 years of undergraduate training and a minimum of 4 years of graduate study where they earn a Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree. Having more than 5000 hours of specialized training, chiropractors are trained to assess, diagnose and treat many musculoskeletal conditions.

What does a Chiropractor do?

Chiropractors use specialized, hands-on techniques called “adjustments” to help restore normal joint movement and nerve function, thereby alleviating pain and optimizing performance. An adjustment is a highly skilled and precise movement applied by hand to a joint of the body. Your chiropractic treatment can be modified to accommodate your specific body type, condition and most importantly, your comfort level. Each adjustment will be explained first and performed only after your consent.
